Junior in the Cherry Tree

It’s January, so it’s just me and Junior

After watching the MAGA idiots storm the capitol yesterday, I just want to turn off social media and dream about my garden. Junior, my squirrel seems happy outside.

So I planted some Nigella seeds in a milk jug and added it to my collection outside. I watched Garden Answer’s latest Winter Sowing episode and she advises not to use seed starting mix, but a good potting soil.

My terracotta pots did not enjoy the freeze/thaw, freeze/thaw in Denver last month, so I lost the bottom of the pot holding a Candy Coralberry at the front door. British gardener Bunny Guinness recommends taking the bottoms off pots any way. Now I’ll experiment.

Now back inside. Sun room to the rescue. How many days until Spring?
